WSOPE 2026 Main Event Sets a New Historic Record

The €5,300 WSOPE 2026 Main Event at King’s Casino / Hilton Prague drew 2,617 entries and built a €13,085,000 prize pool, making it the largest WSOPE Main Event prize pool ever. That came on top of an already record-setting €10,000,000 guarantee, pushing the event into a completely new category for European live poker.

What makes the result even more striking is the gap to the previous record. Until now, the highest prize pool in WSOPE Main Event history was the €7,761,500 generated in 2023 from 817 entries in Rozvadov. Before Prague, that 2023 edition stood as the benchmark for the series.

The step up in guarantees tells the same story. The 2025 WSOPE Main Event was promoted with a €6,000,000 guarantee, while the 2026 Prague debut raised that figure to €10,000,000 and then sailed far past it. WSOPE has had big moments before, but this year’s Main Event clearly established a new high-water mark.
